Q101 The Alternative

The Wolves continued to be aggressive on offense while the Rivermen finally found the speed their offense had lacked in the first period. However the Wolves defense was too strong despite the fact that the Rivermen outshot the Wolves in the 2nd period 20-10. Niklas Jensen was the star for the Wolves again as he picked up his 2nd goal with 6:07 remaining in the period. Afterwards, he was sent to the penalty box for a 2 minute slashing penalty. I think this combination penalty/goal scoring thing is becoming a pattern for Jensen. Hopefully he can get a hat trick in the 3rd period. Another thing I noticed is that the Rivermen are getting exhausted on the ice. They made 8 line changes in the second period compared to just 4 in the first.
