CHICAGO FIRE 0 SPORTING KANSAS CITY 1 HALFTIME
Just like they did against Seattle 2 weeks ago, the Fire got off to a slow start in the first half tonight against Sporting Kansas City. Despite the fact that the Fire got off some shots early on, they were unable to convert. In the 28th minute, fire Defender Arne Friedrich went down with a hamstring injury. But at the moment we are unaware as to the seriousness of the injury. Dan Gargan was subsituted for him, the Fire have 2 subs left. There were also 3 yellow cards given out in the first half. In the 4th minute, KC Midfielder Julio Cesar got his yellow card. The other two were handed out to the Fire: Pavel Pardo in the 38th minute and Gonzalo Segares in the 40th minute.
If any of these 3 players get another yellow card, they will be ejected and subject to suspension. SKC got on the board in the 31st minute when Bobby Convey managed to get one just past the outstretched arm of Fire Goalie Sean Johnson. Despite that, Johnson has 3 saves. But the Fire need to score if they are going to get back in this game. The fire have taken 7 shots so far. Here are the halftime stats: http://www.mlssoccer.com/matchcenter/2012-05-12-chi-v-kc/stats
