Mass Effect 3 Endings Changed

There really is power in numbers and BioWare’s decision to release new ending variations for Mass Effect 3 in response to a fan backlash is proof of it.

Shortly after the game’s March release, the production company got slapped with a false advertising complaint filed with the Federal Trade Commission when one disgruntled fan claimed the game’s ending did not live up to BioWare’s marketing campaign for the latest title in the Mass Effect franchise.

Other unhappy fans organized a “Retake Mass Effect 3″ petition, and raised thousands of dollars for the children’s charity Child’s Play in an effort to bring positive attention to their cause.

In the U.S. market, players of Mass Effect 3 on Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and the PC will be able to download the free addition next week, BioWare said.
