Bobby Blitz Of Overkill Gets Disturbing News
Bobby Biltz told Rock Sverige, “I canceled a show in Hamburg and ended up in the hospital with borderline pneumonia and all this s–t. I remember sitting in the German hospital, trying to recover from this and this guy came in and told me I had six months! I sat up all night and remember going through my computer, ‘Who do I owe money to?, Who owes me?’”
The vocalist says that he had a horrible 12 hours until he was visited again by another hospital worker who set the record straight. He recalls, “I wasn’t really expecting that and I never expected it to come as news to me in broken English. In any case, the next day the woman who was in charge came in and said, ‘What are you talking about? No, you have to change your habits or in 6 months you´ll be in another hospital again’ and I was like ‘F—!’”
The incident inspired the song ‘Another Day to Die,’ which Blitz penned during the horrible period of thinking the end was near. He did state though that the hospital stay did have a positive effect, as he gave up smoking almost immediately. He’s also taken up hiking and has gotten into cardio as well.
Ace Frehley Planning Remix Collection
In an interview with Arena.com, Ace Frehley tells that he’s already plotting a covers and remixes collection that he expects to release next year.
The guitarist states, “I get suggestions, I come up with ideas and I ask friends and associates about which songs to do. The songs are already written, so it is faster and easier for me to make that record. I will get guest stars like Lita Ford, Mike McCready from Pearl Jam, Slash. It is an easier record to make since I don’t have to do much. The big stress is coming up with new guitar solos and vocal lines and melodies on new songs.”
“It is heavier than my last record. I did it by design. My fans said my last album could have been heavier and could have had more guitar work, so I kept that in mind when I made the record.” Space Invader is due Aug. 19.
Miss May Release New Video
In an interview posted on Loudwire, Miss May talks about their new video. “‘You Want Me’ is one of the most personal songs on the new record,” says frontman Levi Benton. ”When I wrote this song, I was relating to the fans because, like them, I’m tired of being pushed around and tired of trying to live up to others’ expectations. I feel this video symbolizes how we push those people to the ground.”

Foo Fighters Teasing Us Again
The theme of “eight” is the base of most of the teasers from the Foo Fighters. The Foos have been teasing the record for awhile, but now, we get to hear a small clue.
For their eighth record, Foo Fighters recorded eight songs in eight different cities. The sessions have been documented for an eight-episode HBO series called ‘Sonic Highways,’ which premieres on Oct. 17. The band sent fans on an online scavenger hunt to collect eight pieces of a puzzle, which when completed, features the number eight hidden throughout the potential album cover.
The video has frontman Dave Grohl screaming “All rise!” in a wildly abrasive voice, it seems much heavier than what Foo Fighters have offered us in the past.
We As Human Using Kickstarter To Get The Tour On The Road
Just check out the post below.
“We As Human needs a new rig to keep touring though 2014 and beyond”!
We As Human has been touring nonstop for years, and while we had a great time doing so, all those miles have added up. Now we find ourselves with a sick van with over 330,000 miles on it, and since we’re in this for the long haul, we’ve decided to move into a newer, more dependable rig for the rest of 2014 and beyond. That’s where you come in! We’ve put together rewards that are only available through this kickstarter, and which give you a way to support us in bringing our music to your city. Thanks for the support so far, and we’ll see you all on the road!
The biggest risk for us on this project will be securing a van with the amount of money we are raising.
Lucky for us, we have a very good friend who owns a car dealership and can get us a van at the lowest possible cost!”
