Who’s The Drummer On Slipknot’s “The Negative One”?
In an interview with ABC News radio, They asked Chris Adler of Lamb of God if the rumors of him druming on “The Negative One,” the new track from Slipknot. He wouldn’t confirm or deny it. “Right now I think silence is golden,” he hedged. “Right now I don’t think those guys need me, or need me talking about it.”
Many fans have posted online that the drums on the Slipknot track sound an awful lot like Adler, and he agrees. “You know, I listened to it and I thought it sounded a little bit like me, too,” he admitted. “At the moment, I just don’t recall doing it.”
“I’m getting texts and emails and phone calls about it,” Adler said. “[But] for the moment, I don’t know anything about it.”
Five Finger Death Punch’s “No One Gets Left Behind”
Five Finger Death Punch’s “No One Gets Left Behind” fundraiser exceeds goal. Loudwire.com reports that earlier this week, Five Finger Death Punch debuted the powerful video for ‘Wrong Side of Heaven, which shines a light on the plight of homeless military veterans and the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). But that was just the beginning of a bigger campaign in which Five Finger Death Punch are seeking to help military vets.
In addition to raising awareness of the issue, the band also took action by designing a “No One Gets Left Behind” jersey (watch video above) available via an Indiegogo crowd funding campaign that will benefit the various organizations mentioned at the end of the ‘Wrong Side of Heaven’ video.
Their goal was to raise $42,500, and we’re happy to report that more than $125,000 has already been pledged, with the campaign not set to end until Sept. 25. The initial run of jerseys sold out, with 5FDP adding another 1,000 shirts to keep up with the demand. The group has also launched the website 5fdp4Vets.com with information about PTSD and resources where veterans can find support.
Five Finger Death Punch hosted a special screening of the video this week at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada where they were able to show their appreciation for the military in person.
Chris Walla Is Leaving Death Cab For Cutie
Guitarist Chris Walla has announced his departure from Death Cab for Cutie.
“Deciding to leave the band was not, and is not, easy,” he wrote. “It’s really, really sad. I love my bandmates, and I’m proud of what we’ve done, and mercifully, those things don’t change with my departure. Moving forward, my plans are simply to continue making music, producing records, and erring on the side of benevolence and beauty whenever possible. Darkness may find me, but I shall never choose it.”
On their Facebook page, they issued this statement: “We’ve had an incredible 17 years of making music with Chris. We are very proud of what we’ve accomplished together, including our eighth studio album which we have just put the finishing touches on. We will miss Chris and wish him all the best in the next chapter of his career. We are excited about sharing new music, and seeing all of you very soon.”
Coal Chamber Are Planning 4th Album
Dez Fafara says, How many times do you get a second chance at anything in life? We toured the world – it was insane and we had a blast. Now it’s time to release a new record.
“The vibe between us is positive, and we’ve assembled a killer team around us. We’ve evolved and so has the music. You’re going to sink your teeth into this.”
Label boss Thomas Caser says: “You rarely get the chance to work with a band that has been a pioneer of a whole genre. A new chapter of Coal Chamber’s history is being written, and Napalm Records is committed to make it the most successful!”
Sammy Hagar To Host The Classic Rock Roll of Honour
Sammy Hagar talks about the honor of hosting The Classic Rock Roll of Honour.
“The Classic Rock Roll of Honour is one of music’s coolest and most prestigious events in the U.K. so I’m really excited to be hosting it for the first time in the U.S. My goal is to keep it fun and filled with so many off-the-hook music moments that we put it on the map alongside the Grammys, VMAs and other awards ceremonies.”

The organic nature of acoustic instruments lends themselves well to our songs, as most start out on acoustic guitar.”
