Alien Ant Farm Release Homage

Frontman Dryden Mitchell commented on the song saying, “’Homage’ is plain and simply just what the title says … an homage to various artists that have influenced me/us or at least provided the background to some good times in our lives. The song just had this wonderful nostalgic feel, before the lyrics even got added … and then it just slammed the point home. I really have a special place in my tiny black heart for this big colorful song. Whatever it does on a listener level, I know some folks will get it … immediately.”

Slash Doesn’t Take BBC Riff Poll Seriously

Slash told Australia’s Triple M station that he finds the poll “impossible to take seriously.”

He added, “I definitely don’t sit there and go, ‘Yeah, it’s the greatest riff.’ But it’s very surreal when somebody says something like that. It’s almost like … impossible to take seriously.” Slash continued, “It’s not tangible. I mean, obviously, someone is walking around saying that and there’s been some sort of poll. But it’s also nonexistent as far as … you know, it’s really hard to really take seriously.”

Slash also said that he is “very appreciative about it” but he has taken it with “a grain of salt” and will “try not to dwell on it and take it too seriously.”

Chiodos Lost Two Members

Chiodos states, “We are excited and gearing up for The Parks and Devastation Tour that starts on Thursday, Sept. 4 with A Day to Remember, Bring Me the Horizon and Motionless In White. Before we hit the road we have some both exciting and unfortunate news. Derrick Frost and Matt Goddard have both chosen to discontinue touring and recording but instead spend more time with their loved ones and pursue other interests at home.

It’s been a long and great journey with both of these gentleman, Matt dating back to the very beginning, and Derrick a part of three albums with us. We wish them the best in all that they choose to do moving forward. They’ve been long time brothers to us and always will be.

Our good friends Thomas Pridgen and Joe Troy are coming to rock with us,” Chiodos reveal. “We have been rehearsing like crazy in Michigan so get ready for a great show. We’re very excited to have them join us on this journey as we’ve always been fans of their musicianship. We can’t wait for you all to experience this with us as we continue to tour and write new material. See you at a city near you soon!”

Nonpoint Release New Video For Never Ending Hole

In an in studio interview, frontman Elias Soriano said, “Nonpoint’s music is very rhythmic … It’s gonna have something to sing along to. It’s gonna have something to pit to. It’s gonna have something you’re gonna want to jump around to and something you’re gonna wanna rip the person’s face off next to you.”

Wovenwar & Kyng Post Hunger Strike (Cover)

Wovenwar posts: “Downtime on a recent tour together gave way to many musical conversations, listenings, and ultimately jams with our brothers in Kyng. This video highlights the budding camaraderie developed while sharing and performing music with newfound friends.”

Charm City Devils Talk About New Song “Shots”

In an interview with Loudwire, Frontman John Allen said, “Outwardly, the song seems like a party anthem, but to me it’s more. Sure this song and video are about as Rock and F—ing Roll as you can get! But, to me it’s the band! There’s no outside songwriters, no overblown production, we are wearing our influences on our sleeves. The video is a documentary of the touring life of the band and lyrically it’s a plea to a close friend to please get help for his addictions before it’s too late. This is one of the songs that every night I know I have physically, mentally and emotionally left it all out on the table!”

Eve to Adam Release Video For ‘Locked & Loaded’

You can watch the new video below.Frontman Taki Sassaris had this to say, “Thanks to our director Davo for capturing us on the road as who we are, not us pretending to be who we think we are.”

Machine Head Give Us Insight Into Thier New Album

Flynn had this to say about the album, “I cannot even begin to tell you how proud we are of this album. “It’s been a heck of a ride. It looked like it might not ever happen again at one point, but man, this album is a milestone for us. You’re going to love it Head Cases.”

Machine Head’s official website page states, “10 songs, an interlude, and an instrumental with an audio collage of spoken word snippets (think ‘Real Eyes, Realize, Real Lies’) by Dr. Bruce Lipton and Steve Bhaerman, taken from their (incredibly inspiring) audiobook ‘Spontaneous Evolution’.

“It was once again produced by your truly The General and Juan Urteaga, and like the last 7 out of 8 albums masterfully mixed by Colin Richardson. Additional tracking, editing, and mixing was done with heavy metal legend Andy Sneap and Steve Lagudi.

“Guest musicians include 2 different string quartets featuring the original Quartet Rouge that appeared on our last album ‘Unto The Locust’. And a new all-male quartet which we featured on the song ‘In Comes The Flood’.

“String arrangements for 2 of the songs ‘Now We Die’ and ‘Sail Into The Black’ came courtesy of myself and Rhys Fulber who has worked with everyone from Sarah McLachlan, to Fear Factory, and the string arrangement for ‘In Comes The Flood’ came courtesy of myself and ex-Worship and current-Bring Me The Horizon keyboardist Jordan Fish, who is a producer in his own right.

“We worked with several artists to complete the 28 page (!) ‘standard’ CD booklet, as well as the 48 page (!) hardcover leather-bound Media-book that will serve as the special edition, including Rafal Wechterowicz, Marcelo Vasco, and long-time Machine Head art-collaborator Strephon Taylor. The theme was to have both CD and hardcover Mediabook look like an old Alchemy book from the 1800′s, with weathered edges, sepia toned pages, and magic / masonic / alchemy themed wood carvings throughout.
It turned out f***ing amazing!!

“All album photos were done with our friend Travis Shinn who took some mind-bogglingly awesome photos, that again, were set to match the theme of the book with an old 1800′s / alchemy feel to them. “
