Blink-182's Tom DeLonge Unveils Signature Fender Starcaster

Blink-182's Tom DeLonge Unveils Signature Fender Starcaster

Blink-182 guitarist and co-lead vocalist Tom DeLonge has unveiled a new signature Starcaster guitar by Fender.

This one-of-a-kind Starcaster has many changes to the original, released in the 1970s. It features an offset semi-hollow body, "C" neck shape, 12"-radius rosewood fingerboard and DeLonge's logo on the neckplate.

DeLonge's first public performance with the guitar was on display during Blink-182's current global tour in support of the album, One More Time.

He shared its video on Instagram.

"I love this guitar, I really do. It's the coolest guitar ever made. Firstly, it is called a Starcaster-that's the most important thing. It goes to space and expands your mind," DeLonge said in a statement.

He added, "I've streamlined the electronics, added the '70s headstock to round out the weight, and chose the matte finish with black hardware, so its look matches its modern feel. This guitar shows my evolution as a player but also has the hallmarks of where I came from and what I'm about."

Courtney Love Slams Taylor Swift As 'Not Important,' 'Not Interesting As An Artist'

Courtney Love Slams Taylor Swift As 'Not Important,' 'Not Interesting As An Artist'

In a recent interview with The Standard promoting her BBC Radio 6 Music and BBC Sounds series, "Courtney Love's Women," Courtney Love slammed Taylor Swift, saying "she's not important" and "not interesting as an artist."

"Taylor is not important," Love said. "She might be a safe space for girls, and she's probably the Madonna of now, but she's not interesting as an artist."

It's not known why Love has a contrarian view about Swift now after having wished her a happy birthday in December 2021 via Facebook. She called Swift an "aspirational huge role model for many young women" at the time. The post also featured a photo of Love and her "occasional hair twin/neighbor."

Courtney also spoke about Lana Del Rey and Madonna during the recent interview with The Standard.

"I haven't liked Lana since she covered a John Denver song, and I think she should really take seven years off," she said. "Up until 'Take Me Home Country Roads' I thought she was great. When I was recording my new album, I had to stop listening to her as she was influencing me too much."

About Madonna, Love said, "I don't like her and she doesn't like me. I loved Desperately Seeking Susan, but for the city of New York as much as her."

Willow Shares 'B I G F E E L I N G S' From Upcoming Album 'Empathogen'

Willow recently shared a new single, "b i g f e e l i n g s," from her upcoming album empathogen.

empathogen is set to arrive on May 3 and marks Willow's first studio album in nearly two years, following 2022's Coping Mechanism.

"The piano part of this song is so dense and dissonant but also darkly beautiful," Willow shared in a statement. "I wrote 'b i g f e e l i n g s' during a week where I was coming to terms with my own emotional patterns that I hadn't known were there."

She added, "Musically, it has a darkness and complexity that reflects what we all experience in our own minds. The song is about accepting those intense feelings that you have no idea what to do with."

The new single follows the release of "symptom of life" in March.

Maggie Rogers Releases Third Studio Album 'Don't Forget Me'

Maggie Rogers Releases Third Studio Album 'Don't Forget Me'

Maggie Rogers' third studio album, Don't Forget Me, was released on Friday, April 12.

Along with the release of the album, the Grammy Award-nominated artist kicked off a week-long celebration that she dubbed "Box Office Week." It includes pop-up events, special shows taking place over the course of the week at intimate venues in four U.S. cities and a new round of Maggie's notable in-person ticketing.

"On the last album, Surrender, I decided to go old school and sell tickets in-person in an effort to reduce fees, combat bots and get tickets directly into the hands of fans," explains Rogers. "That process was so fun, this year I'm hosting 'Box Office Week,' where I've set some special prices for fans who want to come purchase tickets in person."

"Here's how it's going to work. from April 13th to April 20th, in every city where I'm playing an arena this fall, you can go to the local box office to choose your seats and buy your ticket for a special in-person price," she added. "In NYC, Philly, Boston, and Chicago, I'm going to be in person selling tickets directly to you at the box office. After the box office day festivities, I'll be playing a show that very same night in those four cities where me and my band will perform Don't Forget Me for the very first time."

Rogers co-produced her new album with Ian Fitchuk at Electric Lady Studios in New York City, writing eight of its 10 songs with him and penning two alone.

Speaking about the album, Rogers said, "I wanted to make an album that sounded like a Sunday afternoon".. "Worn in denim. A drive in your favorite car. No make up, but the right amount of lipstick. Something classic. The mohair throw and bottle of Whiskey in Joan Didion's motel room. An old corvette. Vintage, but not overly Americana. I wanted to make an album to belt at full volume alone in your car, a trusted friend who could ride shotgun and be there when you needed her."

Don't Forget Me is a follow-up to 2022's Surrender.

U2 Sarajevo Concert Documentary 'Kiss The Future' To Premiere On Paramount+

U2 Sarajevo Concert Documentary 'Kiss The Future' To Premiere On Paramount+

Kiss The Future, a documentary based on U2's 1997 concert in Sarajevo, will premiere on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada on May 7.

The documentary, featuring interviews with U2's Bono, the Edge and Adam Clayton as well as Christine Amanpour and Bill Clinton tells a story of defiance amid the 1990s' siege of Sarajevo during the Bosnian War.

The story follows the band's promise to an American aid worker Bill Carter to perform a post-war concert, which came to fruition when they played to 45,000 local fans in a liberated city, a show that lives on as a joyous collective memory for the people of Sarajevo.

The film "documents how through superhuman acts of courage and creativity, the people of Sarajevo kept going while their city was under siege during the bloody Balkan civil war of the early 1990s," says the Edge. "Their story of defiance and resistance against extreme nationalism couldn't be more relevant to today. To have been even a small part of this amazing story is a huge privilege."

Produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon for Artists Equity and Sarah Anthony, the film is directed by Nenad Cicin-Sain and written by Bill S. Carter and Cicin-Sain, based on Carter's memoir, "Fools Rush In."

Kiss The Future made its world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival and opened the Tribeca Festival in 2023.
