Depeche Mode went with a ballad as the first single off their forthcoming thirteenth studio album, and now they’re showing off a different side of ‘Delta Machine.’ ‘Soothe My Soul,’ the disc’s second single, is decidedly more up-tempo than ‘Heaven,’ with pounding beats, rhythmic pulses and throbbing electronics creating a sinister backdrop for Dave Gahan’s typically foreboding words.
