Within Temptation Set Tour Dates

Singer Sharon den Adel says the band is excited to bring their show back to the States. She explained, “It’s a great feeling that after so many years we are back with a coast-to-coast tour. The reception of our latest album ‘Hydra’ has been overwhelming and we cannot wait to unleash the dragon overseas. Be sure that this time we’ll bring our biggest and best North American live show so far. We really look forward to seeing all our fans again!”

In an earlier interview, Sharon den Adel said, “Lyrically, ‘Hydra’ stands for facing your demons and to embrace your fear and move forward. There will always be a certain issue in life. A short example of this is the song ‘Covered by Roses,’ which is about the passing of someone but also carpe diem and making the most of now and the memories you do have together. You’ll celebrate this person’s life still, they’re a part of you and you’ll take them with you.”

Sixx: A.M. Cover ‘Drive’ By The Cars’

Michael talked about the band’s decision to finally cover a song in a new teaser video (seen below), stating, “It took us three records to do a cover song, but I’m so glad that we waited. And I’m so glad we chose to do the one we did.”

Bassist Nikki Sixx added, “I think it was an opportunity to cover a song that is so defined that you have to be very careful not to wreck it. That song is so loved by so many people, including us, that we really wanted to pay a real tribute to it, and I believe we have.”

Robert Plant Says Maybe This New Album Is The End

Plant surprised The Independent’s James McNair when he made the following proclamation at the end of their conversation, “And maybe this new album is the end now for me.”

McNair followed up and asked “Really? The end of what?” and Plant responded, “Of this musical wanderlust and the wonderful carousel that I’ve been on.

“It’s like a kaleidoscope: you hold it up to the light, rotate it, and the pieces fall beautifully in different ways, but this record feels different. It’s a consummation of all those bits from Son House to Roni Size to the Gambia and it seems to have some sort of finality.”

Avenged Sevenfold Release New Video For Unholy Confessions

Avenged Sevenfold have released a new music video for “Unholy Confessions” which is from their album “Waking The Fallen: Resurrected”.

According to Hopeless records. “Waking The Fallen: Resurrected” includes the original studio album, as well as “11 previously unreleased b-sides, live and alternate versions of songs, three music videos and a 30 minute documentary with never before seen live footage from some of the band’s earliest shows.”

AC/DC Highway To Hell 35th Anniversary Album In The Works

In an interview with “InTheStudio” host Redbeard, Lead guitarist Angus Young says: Short on money but with a full tank of steely determination, armed with a demo tape containing Highway to Hell , the band found and secured a young South African producer named “Mutt” Lange.

“We actually had written most of the songs in a weekend for Highway to Hell… We snuck in the rehearsal studio…we put a tape together and sent it to Mutt Lange and he said, ‘Look, I hear what you’re trying to do. I’m sure I can do you a great job’.”

The result was a rock masterpiece complete with the title track “Highway to Hell”, “Girl’s Got Rhythm”, “Shot Down In Flames”, “If You Want Blood” which all to quickly became rock classics. But as rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young recalls, tragically, colorful lead singer Bon Scott would only get to enjoy the worldwide success of Highway to Hell (certified seven million sold in the US) for another eight short months.

“Bon was unlucky, he just happened to fall asleep with his head in the wrong position from a big night of drinking… Bon wasn’t a rockstar like Jim Morrison. Bon was a rock and roller. He lived that lifestyle, he didn’t act that lifestyle.”

“Empress AD” Stream “Still Live Moving Fast” Before Release Date

Roadrunner Records describes “Empress AD’s” album “Still Live Moving Fast as “an album for the ages, with lyrics that focus upon suggestive metaphors for the intangible minutiae of everyday life rather than relationships and lost love. This is a band of musicians as focused upon grooving together as one, and relating to fans on an emotional level.”
