Bush Release New Single ‘The Only Way Out’
Frontman Gavin Rossdale told USA Today, “It’s a good gateway into the record. This record gets a bit wider and probably a little darker. This is just the right way in.”
Shaman’s Harvest Say The Midwest Is In Their Music
In an interview with Loudwire, Hunt says “Living in Missouri is awesome. There’s a beauty in the grit of us Midwesterners. We work hard, make babies, drink too damn much, and we’re not afraid to rebuild and start over when we get God-smacked. We have an art community all our own, inspired by wind in the wheat fields, and summer morning haze off the rivers and streams. If s–t is broke we either fix it ourselves, or put it up on blocks for yard art.”
Monster Magnet Release New Track “No Paradise For Me”
Wyndorf gives more details on ‘Milking the Stars:’ “This was a happy experiment for me. It’s not a re-mix record by the current definition. It’s more like ‘Last Patrol’ in a “what if?” style alternate reality.”
“What if these songs were recorded in 1968?” Wyndorf asks. “What would happen if I turned a pretty song into an angry one?” How would adding creepy organs and Mellotrons affect the emotional vibe of a song?” These are just a few of the questions that roll around in my head when I write and record any album but this time I decided to actually answer them with fully fleshed out, recorded and mixed examples.”
“The process actually created new songs. That’s the icing on the cake for me. New sounds, new vocals, different instruments and arrangements make for a weird 1960′s vibe totally apart from Last Patrol which was fun for Phil, Bob, Garrett, mixer Joe Barresi and myself to explore.”
“Finally there’s expanded versions of the songs “Last Patrol” and “Three Kingfishers” as recorded live at the AB club in Belgium, 2014. Both those songs were re-arranged for “maximum rock and psych” before we hit the road last year and feature the debut performance of new Magnet bassist, Chris Kosnik. Personally, I think they beat the original versions. Rock on!”
Did Led Zeppelin Steal ‘Stairway To Heaven’?
The estate of Spirit guitarist Randy California claims that Led Zeppelin stole The intro to Stairway To Heaven from Spirit’s song “Taurus”. Listen to the song below and decide for yourself.
Snot Set For Reunion Tour
Snot guitarist Mikey Doling talks about the tour, “I want to let you know we are ready to rock out as hard as humanly possible with all you SNOT heads around the world on our first world tour. I hope you’re ready cause we have a ton of massive energy to bring to you. SNOT is something special to us. We will enjoy playing our debut and only record GET SOME in it’s entirety for you live for all you die hard SNOT HEADS! SAY SOMETHING FOR THE RECORD TELL THE PEOPLE WHAT YOU FEEL!!”
Frontman Tommy Vext adds, “Words cannot describe how excited I am to be getting back in the road with my brothers in SNOT. It is a privilege to play with a band that has had an indeterminable influence over countless artists from the bands inception & thereafter. I’m honored to pay tribute Lynn Strait and offer Snot fans on an international level the live experience they may not have yet enjoyed.”
Hurtsmile Discuss New Album
Gary Cherone had this to say about the new album: “The strength of this record is that all the members of the band contributed to the songwriting process which resulted in a wonderfully creative diversity. This second effort has been a natural progression and we’ve yet to repeat ourselves musically.”
