Slipknot Gives Us A Good Look At New Masks
Slipknot has been playing the tease game with us for long enough. They finally gave fans a good look at their new masks. Check out the video below for yourself.
Sixx: A.M. Released The Lyric Video For “Stars”
They stated in a recent interview, “We think it’s our best record so far and the feedback has been really incredible, to be honest with you. When we put out the first single, Got to Get It Right, it was a daring choice for us because we had other songs on the album that were so much more what SIXX: A.M. fans are expecting. But because of how different this record is and how important it is to us, we wanted to put out a single that kind of set the stage for what is to come,” said Michael, in a phone interview from his home in California.
Ace Frehley Says Kiss Is Trying To “Delete Me”
Ace appears on the latest episode of the ‘One on One with Mitch Lafon’ podcast. In the interview, Lafon asks the guitarist why he thinks Paul Stanley continues to attack him in the press. Frehley stated, ‘I think they’re compelled to put me down because I quit the group and they’re constantly bombarded by Kiss fans who’re saying. ‘Bring Ace back.’” He added that current Kiss guitarist Tommy Thayer is “just a cover-band guy,” and that “It’s a thorn in their side. So any chance they can take to somehow minimize my contribution to the band.” He continued, “It’s interesting how they try to rewrite history” by trying to “delete me” from the band’s past.
Frehley left Kiss after the band’s 2002 ‘Farewell Tour,’ saying that he took the word “farewell” seriously. Both Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley have disputed this claim. The man behind the tracks ‘Cold Gin’ and ‘New York Groove’ added, “I quit the group. I was never fired. I keep reading what Gene is saying, ‘Yeah we had to let Ace and, original drummer, Peter Criss go.’ Bulls—. They let Peter go. They didn’t let me go. I quit. They wanted me to stay.”
Shaun Morgan Of Seether Wants to Perform With Nirvana
In a recent interview with Alternative Nation, Shaun Morgan said: “All the songs on ‘Nevermind’ would be my favorites because they’re the ones that made me pick up a guitar,” explained Morgan. When asked if he would be interested in playing with Nirvana’s surviving members, Morgan answered, “It would be something that I would love to do, but it’s not something that anyone has ever asked me to do. Obviously, just from being a kid, even just to play a show with those guys would be great. But it’s not something that I’ve ever been approached about doing, but obviously as a childhood dream, it would be great to be on stage with those guys.”
Foreigner’s Mick Jones And Lou Gramm Teaming Up
Foreigner guitarist Mick Jones told Ultimate Classic Rock: “We want to delve back into some of the ideas we both knew we had. Then there’s this little trove of goodies that Lou’s got that I haven’t heard. So we’ll start basically just messing around with those ideas and maybe that will inspire us into something new.”
“I think we’re both going into it quite openly – just let it come naturally. We have no specific plans to do anything more at the moment. But it will be fun and a great way of us reestablishing more contact with each other. And I’m very happy about that.”
