Matt Skiba Talks About His Blink-182 Gig

For those who don’t know, Alkaline Trio frontman Matt Skiba was brought in to replace Tom DeLonge when he left Blink-182 last year.

Recently, DeLonge had said that he could return to the band. DeLonge also said that he has been in contact with Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker however, Hoppus has denied any contact other than a brief Twitter conversation where they talked about going water sliding together.

Whatever happens, Skiba says he “only wants what’s best for the band” and is thrilled to have worked on Blink-182’s current album ‘California’.

Skiba and Hoppus go back many years and while they discussed working together through the years he had never really expected to get the call to join the group so it was a pleasant surprise to finally have a dream fulfilled.
