In a closed-door hearing today, a Cook-County Judge ruled that Double Door may stay in their Wicker Park home through the end of the year for now, with a bit of a rent increase.
“Club co-owner Sean Mulroney said appealing the decision is a “possible option.” He expressed optimism Monday about the future of Double Door, one of the anchor clubs during the rise of the Wicker Park music scene in the ’90s. “Double Door is not leaving the city of Chicago. We’re not done. We still hope to work things out in that building,” Mulroney said.”
