DAVE GROHL’S MOM PENS BOOK ABOUT RAISING ROCK STARS

You may have witnessed the crowd at Wrigley cheer for Dave Grohl’s mother when the Foo Fighters played Chicago. How that could not bring a smile to your face, I don’t know.

Virginia Grohl knew while raising her son that he was a natural rock star. In a new book released this past week (From Cradle to Stage), the former schoolteacher not only talks about raising her rock star, but interviews the mothers of Dr. Dre, Michael Stipe, Amy Winehouse, and Mike D of the Beastie Boys about their experiences.

COACHELLA, WEEKEND 2:  VINYL ATTRACTION FOR RECORD STORE DAY

Saturday (4/22) was the tenth anniversary of Record Store Day…and the best selection may just have been at Coachella. ELLE KING SKIPS OUT ON WEDDING

Elle King was supposed to get married last weekend (4/15). Instead, she went to an Eagles of Death Metal concert. I see absolutely nothing wrong with this.

The Killer’s Sam Town is a nod to the nickname of Las Vegas, hometown and longtime home of frontman Brandon Flowers. Hell, Flower’s solo record Flamingo pretty much drips Sin City. But his residence there is now ending. Flowers is not only selling his estate steeped in a rich history that includes everyone from Howard Hughes to Andre Agassi, he and the fam are also leaving town to a new undisclosed location.
