We may have found the best pizza is in Logan Square. We know, there’s Dante’s and Reno, Boiler Room and Father & Son… but bear with us—Paulie Gee’s, the Brooklyn chain that opened up on Milwaukee Avenue last year, is serving up Detroit-style pizza squares that are simultaneously the fluffiest and crispiest we’ve ever had. I always enjoy when someone finds a new way to create pizza deliciousness. I still wish that someone would take on the late night food near bar situation in Chicago. Wouldn’t it be amazing to be able to walk across the street before you call it a night and get a slice of pizza before heading home? In Chicago we have bars that stay open until 4 and 5 AM but almost none of them serve food late or are even near any all night food establishments. Sure there are a handful of eateries that have late night hours but they are few and far between. Am I off here? In some states it is a law that all bars have to serve food. In Chicago you usually have to go to a restaurant bar for anything beyond a pretzel. Most restaurants are closed by 10 PM. All I’m saying IS maybe there’s a way two business could partner. Say for example ‘MARCONI’S TAVERN’ now serving PAULIE GEE’S PIZZA. It’s just an idea. Or maybe I’m threatening to start a PIZZA TAVERN!! What’ya say Paulie Gee’s?
