Protests for $15 Minimum Wage

Do you think fast food workers should make $15 per hour?

McDonald’s employees and other activists across the city gathered earlier this week to protest in favor of raising the minimum wage to $15. The Fight for Fifteen movement has had some success in previous years, such as a city ordinance being passed to raise the minimum wage incrementally until 2019, when the hourly wage will be $13. It is set to increase to $11 per hour on July 1st.

Protests were held at McDonald’s corporate headquarters in suburban Oak Brook, as well as the construction site of the future HQ location in Chicago’s West Loop. READ MORE
