It’s going to be hot Wednesday. It will feel like 100 degrees according to National Weather Service meteorologist Amy Seeley speaking to DNAinfo, who added this is due to high humidity. The common temp around this time of year in Chicago is 85. Accuweather also reported the hottest period of the day will be in the 5 p.m. hour on Wednesday.
So that we can fit right in with your local basic TV weatherman, here are the top 5 ways to beat the heat….it’s seasonal and it rhymes!
- Take all your frozen hot dogs and stuff them in your pants
- Fill a bath tub with ice cream but do not eat ice cream….it will be messy but worth it for the story alone
- Just stay inside and say it’s hot in there instead of out there. If someone ask why are you staying in, say you don’t like crowds or sweat or sweaty crowds.
- Kiddie pools are not just meant for children or being turned into large coolers for beer.
- Foucs your attention on cool things like Weezer’s ‘Blue’ alnum or watch ‘A Christmas Story’. Does the Hallmark Channel do a Christmas in July thing?
In all seriousness, to avoid health issues related to the heat tomorrow drink more water than usual; wear lightweigh, wear sunscreen and avoid leaving children or pets in cars during warm periods. It’s also helpful to check in our senior citizens and your pets during this time.
