The Verge got their lucky hands onto the SNES Classic, the rebooted Super-Nintendo console that follows the extremely successful NES Mini which sold millions over the holiday season last year. Nintendo SNES Classic will be released September 29th at a cost of $79.99. The system will feature 21 pre-loaded classic games in the consoles including the never-before-released ‘StarFox 2’. You have to unlock the new Starfox sequel by playing through the Starfox game.
The console itself allows connectivity with a Wii remote and longer cables on the controllers. The SNES Classic also has a ‘rewind’ feature letting you get chances to do-over difficult parts of games and replay the last few parts where you conqueror ed a level. It also has more modifiable parts with the ability to put in your own save screens.
Nintendo is promising to make more SNES Classics available, as the NES Mini was sold out almost instantly and then the company discontinued the console siting it being a temporary run. So expect the demand to be just as big for this new reboot console.
