Block Club Chicago is reporting it’s going to remain sweet with a beloved treat on the Southside through the colder months of the year.

Rainbow Cone, the iconic Beverly craft ice cream shop located at 9233 S. Western Ave. announced it maintain fall and winter hours, keeping its doors open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The shop which draws long lines in the summer, has grown to become one of the most regarded ice cream shops in Chicago with over 85 years of history for it’s unique concoction of multiple flavors on one cone.

As a southsider myself, the pride we take in this place is silly but why can’t be proud of the best ice cream in the world?!

Neighborhood comedy rap group Chi Town Kids even immortalized Rainbow Cone in it’s own banging tribute.
