According to Consequence of Sound, Netflix has secured the rights to release a long-in-the-works animated feature film from 90’s Nickelodeon classic series ‘Rocko’s Modern Life’. The wacky show gained a lasting following, so it was exciting when the film was announced in 2017 but now it appears the anticipated film will be available for streaming in the future. The film called Static Cling will focus on Rocko and the gang returning to Earth after being left in outer space since 1996. Man, the internet is really going scare Heffer right?
This teaser shown at San Diego Comic Con featured Rocko and friends dealing with all the modern changes to even more modern life including how quickly cell phones get updated, guzzling down ‘Buzzbucks’ conffee, and where the heck did the comic book shop go?!
And for you early 2000’s kids, you are mixture of dark humor and kid TV glee will also be fan-served with an Invader Zim feature film also coming to Netflix. This is not fresh news but while we are on the topic of Nick shows getting the reboot, it felt like we needed to let you the invasion is coming in ‘Invader Zim; Enter the Florpus’. The follower teaser was first released last year at San Diego Comic Con.
