CPD confirms alligator loose in the Humboldt Park lagoon

If you are strolling through the scenic grounds of Humbold Park, be aware there is an alligator loose in the park’s lagoon. Yes, this is a real story. CBS 2 caught some video of the animal poking it’s head above the surface of the water but it has yet to be captured at this time. Chicago Police and animal services are on the site, searching for the animal which is believed to be 4 feet long. A CPD spokesperson stated it is they believe the reptile was released into the lagoon by a pet owner. The lagoon has been closed to the public while the search continues.

Maybe the gator was showing up for Riot Fest? Someone should tell him it’s down at Douglas Park.
