We’ve been in an incredibly hot heatwave around the country, and first responders released a bit of a warning.
They say you should NOT leave a plastic bottle of water in a hot car and in direct sunlight. Why? Because it can start a fire!
Firefighter Jay Symonds from Central New York said: “the water and plastic creat a magnifying effect, and could essentially set upholstery on fire.”
Now it does have to be a full water bottle for that to happen, but you don’t wanna take a chance of something happening.
Keep the water on you, not in your car.
