We can argue all we want about the merits of Die Hard being a holiday movie, but there is no denying that National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation IS.  And soon, you will be able enjoy it on the big screen.

Starting Thursday, December 5th, AMC Theatres in Chicago will be doing a limited screening of the Griswold family gathering for the movie’s 30th anniversary — Hallelujah, holy s#%t! Where’s the Tylenol?!? 

So gather your gang for THAT — or you can choose to stop by a pop-up bar in Wrigleyville.  Houndstooth’s Saloon has transformed itself into Griswold’s for the holidays & there’s a Cousin Eddie RV and hundreds of lights to welcome you out front.  Once inside, you can warm up by the burnt Christmas tree with movie-themed drinks and food.  — [eric]
