Chicago-based air carrier United Airlines apparently had to remind crews in a memo β no duct taping of unruly passengers, according to NBC News.
This is not a new policy, it seems, but after two high-profile incidents on both American and Frontier, it seems they felt it necessary to reiterate proper policy: address situations calmly, deescalate, and refer to the United manual for the approved items to use in incidents where passengers canβt be calmed.
I donβt know about you, but if a grown adult canβt control themselves in a enclosed space at several thousand feet β do we really care what tools they use if it gets the job done? β [eric]
