A father named Daniel reached out to Brian, Ali, and Justin and asked to honor his daughter Abby by giving away her tickets to Twenty-One Pilots at the United Center last Saturday. Abby passed away last June in an untimely manner; her life was taken suddenly in a car accident. A true tragedy, as she had her whole life ahead of her. She planned to attend Iowa state to major in graphic design and childhood psychology. She wanted to help people.
Abby actually got free tickets to a Twenty-One Pilots show years back when someone asked for the ‘best fan story.’ To her surprise, Abby won them and took her little sister, who also became a giant fan of the band. It seemed only right that Daniel do the same with her tickets. She would have wanted it that way. He reached out on Twitter and we were able to speak with him on the air about Abby and her story. Daniel was calm and collected when talking about his daughter that departed too young, something that a parent should never have to do. After, we found a couple to take the tickets and they happily honored her in their own way at the show. Here are their pics and special shirts they made to her…
Thank you to Daniel for sharing her story and tickets and thank you to Luana and Jayden for honoring Abby at the show.
Daniel also got a tattoo on his arm for Abby…
