I was just reading an article on Betty White and her secret to a happy life at 100. She said she was born a cock-eyed optimist and always finds the positive. I am trying to do that with the news of her passing. I have memories of watching her as Rose in the Golden Girls with my mother from a young age, she always had such impeccable comedic timing and a warmthness that made you feel like she would reach out of the tv and give you a big hug. We are better people because we had her. Rest in peace to a master of her craft, the absolute best of the best. We will always love you Betty. <3 Lauren
“‘Even though Betty was about to be 100, I thought she would live forever,’ her agent and close friend Jeff Witjas tells PEOPLE in a statement on Friday. ‘I will miss her terribly and so will the animal world that she loved so much. I don’t think Betty ever feared passing because she always wanted to be with her most beloved husband Allen Ludden. She believed she would be with him again.'” — PEOPLE
