Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers has some rooting interest in the latest season of American Idol.
That’s because his daughter is one of the contestants.
Professionally she goes by the name of Ava Maybee — and the show didn’t make mention of her famous father when she first auditioned, so it looks as though she’s not trying to play the “famous kid” card. But as you’ll see in this clip below, music runs strong in this family.
