Members of Tool and Queens Of The Stone Age joined Primus onstage at a benefit concert for renowned director, animator and writer Jimmy Hayward (Finding Nemo, Toy Story), who is receiving treatment for a very rare and life threatening skin Cancer (squamous cel carcinoma) that grew tumors into the bones of his skull. (You can find his gofundme HERE.)
The show’s setlist comprised of six Primus songs and four covers, on which the band were joined by Tool’s Danny Carey and Justin Chancellor, as well as Queens Of The Stone Age’s Troy Van Leeuwen and comedian Dean Delray.
“As we move through life, every now and again, something comes along and kicks us in the testicles. And sometimes it kicks someone we care about in the testicles. And that has happened to our good friend Jimmy Hayward. And so tonight, this show is for Jimmy Hayward” proclaims Les Claypool before diving back into Those Damn Blue-Collar Tweekers.
