Hey, I’m all for tons of comforts in Airbnb/home sharing services. But I’m certain a couple from Indiana wasn’t expecting this: on a recent trip to Florida, they happened to discover a hidden camera and microphone in the smoke detector above their bed. Later, a second camera was found in the living room. Comforting, no?
The owner of the property, Wayne Natt, claims he only uses the cameras to record consenting adults. (As was pointed out, why hide a camera if people KNOW about them?)
Natt is charged with one count of video voyeurism…and could face more if the hard drives, jump drives, and other storage devices that police confiscated from him turn up more footage taken without permission.
