What started out as a goof has turned into — well, a thing.  A teenage girl from around Cleveland started a campaign a few months back — as a joke, it turns out —  to get Weezer to cover Toto’s classic smooth jam, “Africa.”

This turned into something the internet could get behind.  Not to mention a member of the band as well:

So when word came that Weezer had finally covered Toto, the world sighed with relief and elation (or perhaps, they were just breathing normally?)  But it turned out Weezer had the last laugh, as they covered a completely different hit from the 80s.  I present to you — “Rosanna.”  Enjoy.
