Facebook Dating is coming:
- It was announced a year ago at a developer conference.
- A “Secret Crush” feature will allow users to queue up a list of friends they’d like to be more-than-friends with. If your secret crush is into you, too, you’ll get a notification and then you can connect on Messenger.
- You can keep 9 secret crushes on your list at a time. Let’s not be greedy.
- When it was first announced, Mark Zuckerberg said Facebook Dating was for “long-term relationships, not hookups.”
- Facebook Dating got its start in five countries and will be in the U.S. before the end of the year. Maybe much sooner.
- Facebook dating will be for mobile-only to start.
So, is this a “Tinder killer?” Will it be, contrary to Zuckerberg’s claim, an easier way to hook up?
