Ric Ocasek, frontman and songwriter for the Cars, was found dead in his home on Sunday, September 15.
Ocasek is believed to have been 75 when he passed, although according to the New York Times, some public records show him to have been 70.
The Cars were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.
In addition to his work as a frontman, Ocasek produced albums for bands including Weezer, Bad Brains, No Doubt, and Guided by Voices, among others.
The rock community lost another beloved member over the weekend. Eddie Money passed away on Friday morning at the age of 70.
