The historic Central Camera photography store was burnt down during this weekends protests, but the owner is not upset over the building being burnt, rather, he is upset at what led to these protests.
Central Camera is a Chicago institution, and has been in business since 1899, sadly it was set ablaze this weekend during the protests in response to the death of George Floyd.
Don Flesch, the third generation owner of the store, is not upset that his business burnt down. He is upset over why these protests started, but he was happy no one was hurt in the store and that only inventory and a building was lost.
Flesch plans to rebuild and make the store better than ever after all is said and done.
The original store may be gone, but the historic Chicago business will continue to go on.
