Shams Charania of The Athletic has reported that Zach LaVine and the Bulls are not seeing eye-to-eye. After an impressive 46-36 finish last year, the Bulls have regressed this year with the LaVine-led Bulls failing to live up to their preseason expectations. They now sit at 12-18 and are going nowhere fast. Joe Cowley confirmed that in the midst of getting slaughtered by the Timberwolves, that there was a locker room blowup with players directing their anger towards LaVine.
LaVine signed a five-year max deal with the Bulls in July worth $215.2 million. Now, with the Victor Wenbamyama sweepstakes heating up, the Bulls have an opportunity to shed LaVine, DeRozan, and Nikola Vucevic and possibly alter the direction of their franchise by scoring the first pick in the draft and scooping up Wenbamyama.
