A woman was pulled from the ashes of a chocolate factory explosion in Pennsylvania after she herself fell into a vat of chocolate while on fire, thus extinguishing her and saving her life.
Patricia Borges wound up breaking her collarbone and both of her heels in the destruction of the fire, and after nine hours of agony, she was eventually saved by rescue crews.
The March 24 blast at R.M. Palmer killed seven of Borges’s co-workers and injured 10.
