Chicago Blues Festival at Millennium Park (Thursday-Sunday)

Don’t miss Chicago Blues Fest, which kicked off on Thursday night and rolls throughout the entire weekend downtown in Millennium Park. The festival is free and brings in names like Mud Morganfield and Los Lobos, who headlines the festival on Sunday evening. More information can be found here.

Puerto Rican Festival in Humboldt Park (Thursday-Sunday): Celebrate Humboldt Park’s vibrant Puerto Rican culture and history at this annual fest, which returns to the park of the same name this year with music, food, carnival rides and other community-centric festivities. You’ll find attractions like a dominoes tournament, music stage, merengue dance performances, a shopping market, street food stands and more; plus, don’t miss the 45th annual Puerto Rican People’s Parade Day along Division Street on Saturday. 

White Sox host the Miami Marlins (Friday-Sunday)

This weekend, the Sox return home after battling the Yankees (and horrendous air quality) to host the Miami Marlins in a three-game series. On Sunday, the White Sox will celebrate Southpaw’s birthday.

Rival Sons at Concord Music Hall (Friday) 

For the first time since their epic set at Q101’s Halloween Pop Up last year at The Cubby Bear, Rival Sons are back in town and they’re bringing Q101 Twisted Xmas alumni Starcrawler with them. Limited tickets remain for this epic show.

THRICE at House of Blues (Friday) 

Q101 proudly brings THRICE, the iconic California-based rock band to the House of Blues on Friday night. This event is sold out.

Cloud Nothings at Metro (Friday) 

Post-rock standouts Cloud Nothings co-headline the Metro on Friday with Wavves. Cloud Nothings recorded their most recent album, “The Shadow I Remember”, with Steve Albini in Chicago. Tickets can be purchased here.

Tim Dillon at The Chicago Theater (Friday)

Comedian Tim Dillon, who will surely have you tugging at your collar with his in-your-face, unapologetic material, heads to The Chicago Theater on Friday. Limited tickets remain.

Dead & Company at Wrigley (Friday, Saturday)

Dead Heads unite. The (alleged) final Dead & Company tour is here, and they’ll be taking over Wrigleyville on both Friday and Saturday.

Andersonville Midsommarfest (Friday-Sunday)

The yearly event, which, according to ChicagoPride, will “help kick off the Chicago summer neighborhood street festival season” will gather enthusiastic Chicagoans for a weekend filled with delicious international food, energetic entertainment, exclusive artisans and vendors, and a family-friendly array of interactive activities. 

Lincoln Square Greek Fest (Friday-Sunday)

St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church hosts this annual fest, complete with authentic Greek food and pastries, live music, a Greek dance troupe and a Hellenic market.

The Cure at UC (Saturday)

Old Town Art Fair (Saturday, Sunday)

Enjoy more than 200 artists on the streets of Old Town at this annual two-day art fair. Attendees can also take a self-guided tour of more than 50 local gardens, enjoy live music from local performers and explore a selection of food and drinks provided by area restaurants and vendors. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged.

Wells Street Art Fair (Saturday, Sunday)

Take a gander at over 200 juried artists and purchase original photography, paintings, jewelry and more at this two-day fest in Old Town. Food options include fare from local restaurants, and live entertainment will play throughout the weekend.

Vinyl & Vittles in Englewood (Sunday)

Vinyl & Vittles is back for a second year at Englewood Plaza. The event, which takes place once a month from June-October, brings together a host of record vendors for a day of music and fun.
