5/17/25 – Lew Blond Memorial 5K Run/Walk 2025

Get ready to lace up your running shoes for a meaningful cause!

The annual Lew Blond Memorial 5K Run/Walk is returning in 2025, offering a fantastic opportunity for community members of all ages to come together for a day of fitness and philanthropy. This beloved event honors the memory of Lew Blond, a dedicated Maple School teacher who tragically lost his battle with Lou Gehrig’s Disease (ALS). Participants can look forward to a USATF-certified 5K course, as well as a 1-mile run/walk and a fun-filled Little Lew 50-Yard Dash for the youngest runners. Beyond the races, expect a vibrant atmosphere with a race expo, refreshments, and an awards ceremony.

This event is more than just a race; it’s a powerful way to support vital ALS research and make a difference in the lives of those affected by this devastating disease. All proceeds from the Lew Blond Memorial 5K Run/Walk benefit the Les Turner ALS Foundation, contributing to their ongoing efforts to find treatments and a cure. Please consider joining us for a day of community spirit and charitable giving. To learn more about the Les Turner ALS foundation, and to contribute to their cause, please visit these links:
