Sensual football is back! Announcer makes lewd comment during Bears game

This announcer had some poor phrasing during the Bears-Niner’s game on Sunday. At some point during the second quarter he said, “if he’s in the box, he’s coming, and he’s coming hard and fast.” Maybe there was no better of putting it, but the ruling still stands, hilarious!

The Lounge: Check out the return of Phoenix to our performance space

Ron Elkman/USA TODAY NETWORK

While Ernie Banks of the Chicago Cubs meant BASEBALL when he said his catch phrase — “Let’s Play Two!” — a repeat visit from a Q101 artist to The Lounge is always twice as nice.

Check out Thomas Mars and crew as they chat and play tunes like “1901” and their new one “Alpha Zulu.”

Look in your pockets now! You might have a $2000 coin!

Check your pockets right now! You might have a quarter worth $2000! There are some rare, but still very much in circulation, quarters from Wisconsin. The specific year that’s worth some actual ‘coin,’ is 2004. Apparently, there were some errors in those, making them highly sought after. Go look in your cup holder, you could be a thousandaire.

Watch this Guinness World Record for “Longest Hoop Shot”

34-year-old Joshua Walker just broke the Guinness World Record for “Longest Hoop Shot” with a whooping 113 feet 6 inches! This was on the first try too. Incredible, watch!

The best surprise party entrance of all time!

Congrats to this family for pulling off a true surprise! This woman had no idea when she walked through the door that people were there for her, because she started off by screaming about her parking space. They got her, but she got them too! Now move your car!

Riot Fest 101: The Music of Douglass Park, with ANBERLIN

Class is in session.  This is Riot Fest 101 — with Anberlin.

Never one to adhere to the labels affixed to them over their career, the Florida band scored a huge #1 hit at alternative radio in 2009 with their song, “Feel Good Drag.”

In 2022, the group is still going — 20 years strong — and just announced their signing to Equal Vision Records and released a new EP called Silverline.

Chicago is eager to welcome Anberlin back to the city, as their Riot Fest Late Night gig at Reggie’s on Friday September 16th is sold out. That will be after they take the Rise Stage earlier in the day.

Tickets are on sale for Riot Fest 2022 — you can also check out the lineup and complete schedules. Wanna win tickets? We have some last minute hookups for 3-Day passes:

No Bears QB has ever thrown for more than 4,000 yards — will THIS be the year?

You sick of hearing this yet — that you have to go back to Sid Luckman to find the last true great Bears quarterback?

Maybe because that’s because no Chicago Bears QB has ever thrown for more than 4,000 yards in a season.

We bring up this and 19 other weird NFL facts — as we kick off yet another football season with Thursday Night Football tonight locally on NBC Chicago. (The rest of the season’s Thursday night games will be on NFL Network and streaming on Amazon Prime)

If you have been following the predictions for the Monsters Of The Midway, don’t hold your breath for that record to fall THIS season. But maybe someday, with Justin Fields at the helm?

Do They Belong To The Streets? She wants her ex, at the wedding

Does she belong to the streets?! She wants to invite her ex-fiancé to her wedding and her NOW fiancé is not cool with it!

Ahoy BAJ I am fearful that my fiancé belongs to the streets and is still in love with her ex. As we are planning our wedding she demanded that we invite her ex fiancé. I keep telling her I’m uncomfortable with him being there but she is adamant that we invite him. This makes me uneasy because she talks about him all the time and we’ve had fights about it in the past. My biggest fear is that when the Pastor asks “does anyone oppose?” that he will stand up and say something. My insecurities also are convincing me that my fiancé wants him to be there so he can stop it. I’m sure I’m just in my head but I need to know from the pro’s, does my fiancé belong to the streets?

Am I The Jerk?! A woman said anyone that didn’t bring a gift to her baby shower had to do this

Is she the jerk?! A woman announced at her baby shower that anyone who didn’t bring a gift, could leave! Ouch. Apparently, a lot of people didn’t bring a gift to her wedding, and it made her sour. So, she got up on the mic and let the entire room know what the deal was. A sweet soul named Pam chimed in and said of course the baby hormones were getting to her and that she wasn’t serious. But baby mama reiterated again, that she was serious, “I said what I said.” Mic drop! Here is the magic moment-

Bored? How about a nice game of Tetris, Daft Punk style?

Back in the office? WFH? Unemployed?

We can all agree — sometimes it’s nice to jump on the web for a distraction?

How about a good ole’ fashioned game of Tetris, Daft Punk-style? It’s all apart of a fan site that popped up — The Daft Punk Cafe.

Besides stacking blocks, you can play a song guessing game — or just let the duo roll in the background with a curated radio station.

There’s a good way to kill time. Another would be to enter to win tickets to most every show we got in the Concerts & Events section of Q101.com. Now, if we could only get Daft Punk to reunite…
