How to save your data from being deleted in the Google purge

What’s the opposite of spring cleaning? Because Google is going to do that this week – and clear tons of data and old accounts from it’s servers. But don’t worry, there’s still time to save your data and photos! First off, if you regularly use your account, you have nothing to worry about – Google will only be deleting accounts that have been inactive for two years or more. Users will also be notified multiple times before the account is deleted. If you want to save your old account, doing any of the following will mark your account as ‘active’ and safe from deletion:

  • Reading or sending an email
  • Using Google Drive
  • Watching a YouTube video
  • Downloading an app on the Google Play store
  • Using Google Search
  • Using Sign in with Google to access a third-party app or service

The purge begins on Friday, Dec. 1st. <3 Lauren

What would you do if you ran into Noel Gallagher on the street?

You are walking down the street in L.A., Noel Gallagher is walking down the same street in L.A. WHAT DO YOU DO? Why, chase him down and sing Oasis at him of course! (please don’t.) “Look at the sky, there’s a Champagne Supernova in the sky!” <3 Lauren

A Champagne Supernova manifests when we see Noel Gallagher of Oasis & then promptly disappears as the moment passed. But we made a new friend in Noel on the eve of Thanksgiving 2023. Seeking musical mentors and creatives

I have recently linked up with with an amazing organization called Guitars Over Guns whose mission is to empower young people with music and mentorship; and they are currently hiring mentors!

Guitars Over Guns offers students from our most vulnerable communities a powerful combination of music education and mentorship with professional musicians to help them overcome hardship, find their voice and reach their potential as tomorrow’s leaders.

ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT SUPPORTING YOUR LOCAL COMMUNITY?
JOIN OUR TEAM OF DEDICATED MENTORS WORKING WITH MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH IN CHICAGO!

GUITAR • BASS • KEYS • DRUMS • SONGWRITING & VOCALS • RAP • POETRY & CREATIVE WRITING • MUSIC PRODUCTION • SPOKEN WORD

We use music as a vehicle for building transformational mentoring relationships. Kids come for the music and stay for the family. We use the journey in music as an opportunity to create a safe space for students to explore their creativity, voice, identity, and power. They set goals and work through the challenges standing between them and their definition of success. We have concerts and a music video project where they put it all to work. GOGO sessions take place 2-3 per week week and pay $35/hour. Mentors are paid for prep time, training and field trips, too.

Consistency is essential to building real relationships, so we are looking for mentors
who can commit to the consistent schedule for the duration of the program year. Interested? Email Dominic at [email protected]

Guitars Over Guns can always use your donations! Be a rockstar. Donate now to transform lives through music & mentorship. 🎵🎤

Thanksgiving cheat sheet for the best and worst times to travel

“AAA projects 55.4 million travelers will head 50 miles or more from home over the Thanksgiving holiday travel period*. This year’s Thanksgiving forecast is an increase of 2.3% over last year and marks the third-highest Thanksgiving forecast since AAA began tracking holiday travel in 2000. The top two years were 2005 and 2019, respectively.” according to Inrix.com

Oh and 88.7% are expected to drive….

Porno For Pyros announce farewell tour

Gospel singer Bobbi Storm was nearly kicked off a plane after she refused to stop singing

Getting nominated for a Grammy could be the biggest moment of a musician’s life. For gospel singer Bobbi Storm, however, it led to her nearly being removed from a flight when she wouldn’t stop singing after she found out about her nomination.

As you can see in the video above, Storm was essentially begged by the flight crew to stop singing. The singer eventually quieted down.

Leonardo DiCaprio filmed rapping at birthday party, called out for being cringe

Leonardo DiCaprio is newly 49 and still very cringe. One of the greatest actors of all-time was filmed at his birthday party over the weekend getting on the mic and throwing down bars to Gang Starr’s DWYCK.

While his choice of song is excellent, his performance is anything but.

Craig Counsell’s first Cubs press conference was one for the ages

The Cubs have their guy.

No, they don’t have Shohei Ohtani or Cody Bellinger (yet), but they have Craig Counsell, and in his first press conference with his new squad, he seemed like the right man for the job. In front of the media, Counsell explained that “it’s time to be a Cub.”

“That is the challenge I have ahead of me,” Counsell said. “It’s a big one. It takes time but it’s the one I have to get right.”

While the White Sox continue to shed talent, the Cubs future is possibly brighter than ever before.

Update on girl who got her boyfriend’s name “tattooed” on her forehead

Last week, Brian & Kenzie were talking about this girl who got her boyfriend’s name “tattooed” across her forehead.

Most people (myself included) could tell it was fake (have you ever SEEN an actual tattoo?)

But she argued it was real.

And kept arguing it was real

And kept posting videos arguing that it’s real

And kept posting and kept arguing, in fact she was “sick and tired of everyone thinking her tattoo was fake.”

@anastanskovsky

Replying to @Dydyfycy Let me prove its real #tattoo #facetattoo

Until she admitted it was fake. But she lied about getting it for a good reason…

She doesn’t want young people making the same mistake. But I don’t think she is giving young people enough credit. But just in case she is, YOUNG PEOPLE: PLEASE DON’T GET A KEVIN FOREHEAD TATTOO. <3 Lauren
