The Rockin’ 1000, a project that organizes mass performance events “to play together the songs that made the glorious history of rock.”, recently performed The Smashing Pumpkins’ classic “Bullet With Butterfly Wings”.
The tradition dates back to 2015, when the Rockin’ 1000 covered the Foo Fighters’ “Learn To Fly” in Cesena, Italy.
Wearing all black and corpse face paint, Dave played drums on the Boygenius tune “Satanist.” Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker were in Halloween costumes as well, dressing as The Father, Son and Holy Ghost for their set at The Hollywood Bowl on Halloween night.

Where is the best spot to trick-or-treat in town? Let us know on Facebook!
A restaurant in Georgia is garnering national attention for taxing bad parents who are unable to control their rowdy children. The Toccoa Riverside Restaurant just outside of Atlanta has drawn the ire of parents who feel they are unfairly being targeted by the restaurant who added this fee during the pandemic.
A Google review reads, “If you have children, absolutely avoid this place at all costs. Holy moly – the most disrespectful owner made a huge scene in front of the entire restaurant because our children were “running through the restaurant” – they were down by the river.. we were told we need to “go to Burger King and Walmart” and that we were bad parents. They have a $50 surcharge for “bad children.”
Internet sleuths have also noted the menu includes things like an 18% gratuity for separate checks and a $3 fee for sharing a plate.
A representative for the restaurant went on to say there’s nothing wrong with kids and families coming to the restaurant. However, kids running wild through the dining room “isn’t parenting.”
Weathers at Q101’s Halloween Bash!!! The guys from Weathers did two sets for us, they came out at themselves and then again GREEN DAY!! They were awesome! Make sure you check out Weathers next time they are around your area!!
We’ve all been there before, you have to be at a Halloween party and “Uh Oh!” you didn’t plan anything. Not to worry, here are some last minute DIY costumes for my fellow procrastinators!
Football Player
This requires little to no effort whatsoever. All it needs is a football jersey, real or fake, or even a shirt with any football team logo on it. This one is very easy to pull off and perfect if you need to leave the house in 30 seconds. If you’re feeling ambitious you can even draw some black lines under your eyes.
2. Chef
A chef could come in many different varieties, but for the sake of you being on time to the Halloween party you’re just going to pop on an apron and grab the cooking utensil of your choosing. Bam you are a certified chef, guaranteed to spice up the party!
3. John Wick
This one may need some ironing skills, but the John Wick costume is basically just dress like you are going to a wedding. Pull out a tux, draw some red marker on your forehead and now you are a trained killer looking to avenge your dog!
4. Barbie
PINK
5. Cereal Killer
This one is actually one of my favorites and you can count on seeing one every year. A cereal killer is a fun play on words and who doesn’t love being a walking pun? Tape some cereal boxes to a T- Shirt, throw some plastic knives in the box or fake blood and you are all set to be the corniest costume of the night!
With all this knowledge go forward my last minute friend and make Halloween yours! – Joey
File under things I didn’t think I was going to hear today: the Toadies covered Kelly Clarkson’s Since U Been Gone. It’s the guys yelling “yeah” in the background for me. <3 Lauren

Faye Webster at The Riv (Sunday)
Indie singer-songwriter Faye Webster is on the road again, still feeling the buzz from her excellent 2021 release, I Know I’m Funny haha. She’s back for the first time since her Metro gig in early 2022 and even after an upgrade from The Vic to The Riv, this show is sold out.
The Austin duo is back with another full-length release. Chronicles of a Diamond is another strong release from a band that continues to do no wrong. The Pumas have added a third show at The Salt Shed in the early part of next year, and tickets go on-sale today.

Iconic rapper Eminem, best known for vomiting on his sweater already (mom’s spaghetti), is once again dipping his toes into a food venture. After successfully launching the “Mom’s Spaghetti” pop-up a few years ago, he’s now boxing it up and shipping it out.
Jeff Bannister played for my dad Jack in the minor leagues. When I was a little kid I thought he looked like a super hero. Now he’s the bench coach for the @Dbacks and they are going to the World Series. Legend. https://t.co/gLtYTCduIR
It’s sad to see Phillies fans try to pit bands against each other because they are miserable and suffering. What a bunch of whiners. We will not beef with Creed. They are a proud band that’s worked for what they have. So are we. Nothing but respect. https://t.co/2gkpZ211Sk
