Dolton mayor strikes again as cancer charity fails to file financial records

Tiffany Henyard is back in the news, and that’s never a good thing.

The Illinois’ Attorney General office claims that Henyard runs a charity for cancer patients and has failed to file basic information about how it collects and spends money. Township credit card records show charges totaling $10,248 for hotels along the route of a ‘Tiffany Henyard Cares” walk from Dolton to Springfield in 2022.

The event occurred days after township trustees were asked to approve a $10,000 payment to the charity.

Henyard has refused to comment on the situation.

McDon’t: Wilmette blocks new McDonald’s with drive-thru because they hate fun and convenience

McDonald’s will not get permission to build a McDonald’s in Wilmette, signaling a rare loss for the fast-food giant.

On Tuesday night, the Wilmette Village Board rejected a proposal by the Golden Arches to take over the now-vacant Bakers Square restaurant at 200 Skokie Blvd., near Old Orchard.

Neighbors say a busy fast-food restaurant with a drive-thru would create additional traffic, noise, safety issues and toxic emissions from a lot of cars idling at the same time. There’s a number of strong opponents who think that McDonald’s would represent a bad look for the village.

Warner Bros. is releasing every Sopranos episode as 25 second TikToks

In “honor” of the 25th anniversary of the greatest show of all-time, the powers that be at Warner Bros. have devised a plan to carry the legacy of The Sopranos into the next generation. The episodic drama that consisted of episodes an hour in length is now being transformed into 25 second TikToks.

Suddenly, Prestige TV has become Prestige Tok.

Is it wrong to hate this? We’re hip, we like evolving with the times, but there is something about this that is so…gross? Yeah, gross. The Sopranos should not exist within a TikTok Universe, and we love both The Sopranos and TikTok.

Coffee shop angry, demanding payment over “pop-up wedding”

A coffee shop in Indianapolis, Indiana has gone viral for a “pop-up wedding” that crashed the store on New Year’s Eve.

Mansion Society Indiana reported that a couple entered the store on December 31st and “surprised” the store with a ceremony. The mansion had initially declined to share a video of the imposition out of respect but changed their minds due to a “lack of accountability” from the wedding crashers, per the post.

@nypost

Viral footage captured the wild moment that a bridal party allegedly threw a “pop-up wedding” at a coffee shop in Indianapolis, Indiana, preventing the caffeine purveyor from serving other patrons. 💒

“When our barista asked your party to please move out of the way that you were blocking our customers, your photographer told us, ‘No, wait at least 5 minutes.”

Is this cute or cringey? The conversation lives on Facebook!
