During the D23 Expo, fans were given a special look at the new Star Wars moving coming in December. And it’s dark — really dark. While there is a lot of historical footage from the previously released movie, the sneak peak we get from the new film shows off the Dark Side of the Force. Whether or not this will be a real path for Rey — or a vivid dream like her mentor, Luke Skywalker — well, that remains to be seen. I can’t wait. — [eric]

When the UK, you homage to one of the country’s best. Twenty-One Pilots did just that recently at the famed Reading Festival where they covered Oasis’s emotive anthem ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’.
Just listen to that crowd sing a long with every word. It’s really magical. It was also clever for Tyler Joseph to add the line “don’t put your faith in a two piece band”.
TOP’s set also included a fun bit where the security detail up front was prompted to dance for everyone watching on the giant screens next to the stage. Let’s just some of them should stick to their jobs, but we still shake our butts in their company.
So yeah, @twentyonepilots dancing security detail is cooler than yours.

Watch Mojo delivered this gem of a video this weekend with a look into the Top 20 fails from local TV news shows from around the country. Whether it’s a dog interrupting a green-screen weather report or Chicago’s own Andy Shaw asking for a mic on a live report from the Democratic National Convention, there is something quite entertaining about watching live local news miss their story with comedic results.
Another Chicago TV news faux paw makes the list and it’s laugh-out-loud bad,
Good thing they’ve got something on deck, because I’m almost done with Mindhunter Season 2.
A Jesse Pinkman-focused “Breaking Bad” movie now has a title and release date, as of today.
You can check out “El Camino – A Breaking Bad Movie” on Netflix October 11th. Let Skinny Pete set up what the story is going to be all about with this teaser trailer below. — [eric]
Internet Today is just a goldmine of the weird, hilarious, and alternative takes in the upside down world we live in. This week’s episode of ‘Weekly Weird News’ from the Youtube smart-asses shared the tale of nature striking back at a community of wealthy mansions in Florida. Yes, the state where their best export is out-there news stories like this one.
A community in Palm Beach has been overwhelmed by a groups of vultures taking over backyards and pools. The Palm Beach Post reported on a couple who purchased a $702,000 home near a country club, only to find out it was buzzing with buzzards. The large birds apparently vomit as a defense option and leave quite the smell around them in process because they eat mostly rotting flesh.
The IT boys also revealed to us that Texas may have accidentally legalized weed.
Internet Today turned us on to this odd story in the video above.
The Texas Observer has reported that Texas lawmakers who have been staunchly against legalizing marijuana while several states including Illinois, may have accidentally legalized the substance through a legal loophole if it’s byproduct of hemp. So basically this new law has not decriminalized weed but allows it to be consumed in a very limited capacity in a specific way,
That’s because when lawmakers legalized hemp this session, they unintentionally changed the legal definition of marijuana in a way that makes possession harder to prosecute. Under the new law, which went into effect in June, cannabis with less than 0.3 percent concentration of THC, the psychoactive ingredient that gets you high, is legal hemp, while anything above that threshold is illegal marijuana. Since crime labs in the state can’t currently determine THC concentrations at the minimum threshold, the Texas District and County Attorneys Association predicted that agencies across the state would have to purchase pricey new equipment to keep charging for pot possession. “Until then, there will be no easy way to determine whether the weed your officers seized is illegal marijuana,” the association wrote in a June bulletin to its members.
