‘This is some BS!’ Brian Haddad sounds off on the new AMC Seating Policy

Brian Haddad, who has not enjoyed a comedic movie since 2007, and hasn’t been to a movie theater since seeing Top Gun: Forever months after everyone else, is pissed about AMC’s announcement yesterday. The theater company announced that they would be rolling out a pricing tier based on the seats that you purchase. They go as followed,

  • Standard Sightline: The most common seats are available for the traditional ticket price.
  • Value Sightline: Seats in the front row, as well as select ADA seats, are available at a lower price than Standard Sightline seats. Value Sightline pricing is available only to AMC Stubs members, including the free tier membership (AMC Insider).
  • Preferred Sightline: These seats are typically in the middle of the auditorium and are priced higher than Standard Sightline seats. AMC Stubs A-List members may make reservations in the Preferred Sightline Section at no additional cost.

His days of being a cinema buff are behind him, but that didn’t stop the generator of Q101’s Brian & Justin from popping off to the Q101 Digital Team, “This isn’t how things used to be. This is BS! It’s surge pricing all over again, and before you know it it’ll be $200 to sit in the middle seat.”

Despite his regular fiscal mismanagement, Haddad does make a good point in the fact that this is yet another instance in which consumers are getting screwed by a major media company.

“Sightline” applies to all showtimes after 4 p.m. It won’t be in effect for Discount Tuesday. The new pricing system has already launched in select markets and will roll out nationally by the end of 2023.

Do the ticket prices to see Lebron James break the scoring record prove that he’s the GOAT?

Lebron James is closing in on greatness. At the time of this writing, he sits a mere 36 points away from breaking the all-time scoring record that is currently held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. His next two opportunities to break the record will come at home vs. the Thunder on Tuesday and against the former world champion Bucks on Thursday, both of which will be nationally broadcasted games on TNT. Tickets to the Thunder game are $284,50% higher than the team’s season average, according to ticket retailer StubHub.

Courtside tickets for Tuesday’s game cost around $48,403 and Thursday’s an eye-watering $68,995, according to retailer TickPick.

James will pass the scoring record with 38,388 points. For reference, Michael Jordan sits fifth all-time with 32,292 points.

The Lakers currently sit at 25-29 and are two games out of the Western Conference Play-In Tournament, but hey, this is cool, too.

Fall Out Boy performs at the 2023 NHL All Star Game

The Red Hot Chili Peppers celebrate 40 years of music with intimate interview on ’60 Minutes’

Few bands have lasted as long as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and no one’s longevity has been more surprising than the L.A. quarter. It seems impossible that they’ve been around for as long as they have and are subsequently as old as they are now, but that is simply the magic of the Chili Peppers. The 60 Minutes camera crew caught up with them for a rare, honest, and intimate interview to celebrate this milestone.

If anyone can play when they’re 100, it would be Flea. Here’s to another 40, RHCP.

An exclusive interview with the woman whose house was mistaken for a brothel

Tuck your package, boys, because she’s packing.

A few weeks ago we talked about a woman who had her address posted online on a brothel website, leading to swarms of men showing up and expecting sex. Camera crews recently caught up with the woman, who has had enough of this horny nonsense.

She now carries a loaded pistol with her to keep men away from her, but that has not slowed the stream of neanderthals coming her way.

Wet Leg wins big, Turnstile snubbed hard, and everything else that happened at the Grammy Awards

British duo and Twisted Xmas alumni Wet Leg scored big last night at the Grammys, taking home both Best Alternative Album for their self-titled record, beating out Big Thief, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and others, and best Alternative Performance for their song “Chaise Lounge”.

Hardcore darlings and personal favorites of Brian & Justin, Turnstile, were nominated for three different categories. When it came to Best Metal Performance, they were beat out by a man on death’s doorstep in Ozzy Osbourne. Fine. Whatever. I don’t like it, but I can accept it. When it comes to Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance, however, Turnstile was beat out by Brandi Carlisle and her snoozer track “Broken Horses”. There’s nothing wrong with Brandi Carlisle, she seems like a nice lady, but no one is more sterile than she is. She’s fine if you want to honor someone at The Kennedy Center, but Best Rock Song? In the year of our Lord 2023? When Turnstile is doing the damn thing? I think not. This is this generation’s Jethro Tull-Metallica situation all over again.

Elsewhere, hip-hop celebrated 50 years of kicking ass with an incredible ensemble performance.

Rihanna’s “Umbrella” was used as a torture device

In 2016, a priest named Gerald Johnson suffered a heart attack and claims to have died for some time and gone to hell. He gave out the details of this brief afterlife experience on his TikTok account. Johnson initially thought that he was ascending towards heaven because of the work he did in the world of the living while he was alive.

Instead, he later discovered that he was spiraling downwards, away from the pearly gates. Besides hearing Rihanna’s song being played by the demons, the priest went on to give a vivid detailing of the things he saw there, as per him he saw a man “walking on all fours like a dog and getting burned from head to toe. His eyes were bulging, and worse than that: He was wearing chains on his neck. He was like a hellhound. There was a demon holding the chains.”

Megan Fox claims she manifested Machine Gun Kelly at age 4 — “I made him.”

I have to be honest – I’ve missed these two. For the last six months, Hollywood’s oddest couple has been away from the headlines and it’s made the world less fun. This is the type of stuff that I log onto the Internet for. In a recent interview, she noted, “He’s literally my exact physical type that I’ve been manifesting since I was 4. I’m also four years older than him. So, I think I made him.” She went on to say, “My thoughts and intentions grew him into the person that he is, who knows what he would’ve looked like or been like if it wasn’t for me.”

Never change, you two. Keep on being weird.
