“America, f*ck yeah!”: Mountain Dew releases Baja Blast-flavored hot sauce
God Bless America and everything that comes from it. At times of great strife, it’s important to reflect on the good that this country brings us. Mountain Dew has brought us a Baja Blast-flavored hot sauce, which will not be available in stores. Only 750 bottles will be made and customers will have to try out to win the hot sauce.

Italian freaks Måneskin have released their third full length album, ‘Rush!’. The album spans 17 songs, including standout hits “THE LONELIEST” and “SUPERMODEL”. This release seems the imports team out with Libertyville’s finest, Tom Morello, on the song “GOSSIP”.

Rude little pig Alec Baldwin facing involuntary manslaughter charges
Alec Baldwin, actor, producer, and generally angry man, is now facing involuntary manslaughter charges for his involvement in a shooting on the set of Rust in 2021. Baldwin was holding a gun during a rehearsal when it discharged, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.
Charges will be filed by the end of January and Baldwin will be issued a summons to appear in court. Prosecutors will forgo a grand jury and rely on a judge to determine if there is probable cause to move toward trial.

Dinkel’s Bakery closed in May after more than 100 years. Now, a developer wants to put up a six-story apartment building at the 3329 N. Lincoln Ave location with the iconic Dinkel’s sign included in the design. More details will be revealed during a meeting 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 25.

A number of exciting shows were announced throughout the country yesterday. Notably, Madonna is coming to the United Center on August 9 for a “Greatest Hits” tour. This marks the first time that Madonna has been back in Chicago since a seven-night residency at the Chicago Theater in 2019. Tickets go on-sale on Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. CT on Jan. 20 here.
Lovers and Friends Fest was announced for May 6 in Las Vegas. The festival features Missy Elliott, 50 Cent, Mariah Carey, and more. Pre-sale starts on January 20.
Kenny Loggins comes to the Ravinia on August 19 for his farewell tour. The on-sale date has not been announced yet.
Finally, up-and-coming UK post-punks High Vis have announced their first US tour and will be stopping by the Cobra Lounge on April 6. For fans of bands like Turnstile or Rise Against, we cannot recommend High Vis enough. Tickets go on-sale on Friday.

ComEd wants to raise your bill by $17 a month by 2027
As if it wasn’t bad enough, your electric bill might be going up again really soon. A new proposal by ComEd wants to raise the delivery rate by over $1.4 billion over the next four years. That $1.4 billion hike translates into $17 more per month on your electric bill by 2027 if ComEd gets their way.
ComEd has requested the price hike in an effort to strengthen grids. Per CBS News, under the four-year plan, the current average $93 monthly bill will see an initial monthly increase of $4.50 in 2024, bringing it to $97.50 per month or $1,167 annually. Year after year, rates will go up. By 2027, the average monthly bill will surge to $110 or $1,320 a year.
Gordon Ramsay’s new restaurant is coming to Naperville in the spring
The king of the kitchen is coming to Chicagoland in the spring. Gordon Ramsay announced that his “Ramsay’s Kitchen” will be landing in Naperville in the coming months, joining Las Vegas and Boston as the three cities with this restaurant.
“Ramsay’s Kitchen” in Naperville is expected to open this spring. It will be at 39 West Jefferson Street in the former Ted’s Montana Grill and Oswald Pharmacy space.
NASCAR is now requiring their drivers to wear underwear
The greatest sport on four wheels unveiled some new rules for the 2023 season this week. Starting in the new season, drivers will be required to wear underwear and socks, among other things.
It should be noted, a fire-resistant head sock/helmet skirt, underwear and socks. Specific SFI or FIA-rated gear will be required, falling in-line with other series. It remains unknown at this time how this will be checked.

Tony Hawk joins Goldfinger on stage to sing ‘Superman’
No video has ever made me want to plug in my PS2 and eat an entire pizza more than this one does. Over the weekend, Tony Hawk joined legendary ska-band at a show in California to play a song that will be forever associated with the ‘Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater’ series.
Hawk can do a kickflip and he can sing in a band. As far as I’m concerned, he’s the coolest person to ever live.
Chicago’s ‘Name a Snowplow’ competition is underway and the names are hilarious
