Vote For Your Favorite Couple – Aisle 101

Becky & Gil

Couple #1

Becky and her fiancé, Gil, first met while working at a pizza place together. What started as a fun connection quickly turned into something lasting. Now, 10 and a half years later, they are engaged! Gil proposed in their kitchen on their 10-year anniversary, following a Hozier concert.

Their friendship began with a shared love of music, exchanging CDs and discovering new artists together. As a couple, they enjoy going to concerts, and Twisted Xmas has become one of their favorite holiday traditions. They believe no one could plan their wedding better than Q101 and its incredible community of listeners. That’s why they’re asking for help to keep the good times rolling and make their wedding a reality!

Rebecca & Paul

Couple #2

Paul met his fiancée, Rebecca, in 1997 when they were teenagers and felt an instant connection. Though their early relationship was cut short, they found their way back to each other years later during a difficult period in Paul’s life, quickly rekindling their love. They have now been together for nearly six years, raising their children and supporting one another through life’s challenges, including gaining custody of his stepdaughter and caring for his ailing father.

Both Rebecca and Paul are devoted Q101 fans, frequently entering contests and winning tickets together. Financial constraints initially led them to consider a courthouse wedding, but after Paul’s mother recovered from cancer, they knew they wanted to celebrate their love with a proper ceremony. When they saw the contest, it felt like fate, and they are determined to win. Paul is committed to marrying Rebecca, giving her the beautiful wedding she deserves, and continuing to be a loyal Q101 fan—now they just need the station’s help to make their dream wedding a reality.

Robyn & Kevin

Couple #3

Robyn, 52, is preparing to marry Kevin, a high school acquaintance she once had little interest in—even jokingly telling him she had moved just to avoid him. However, years later, fate brought them back together through Facebook in 2014, and they have been inseparable ever since.

After overcoming life’s many challenges together, Robyn and Kevin are now focused on their future as a couple. Robyn believes that having Q101 plan their wedding would be the perfect way to begin this exciting new chapter of their lives.

Anna & Erik

Couple #4

Anna and her fiancĂ©, Erik, share more than just love—they’re also bandmates in The Shameless Strings, with Erik on bass and Anna “shredding” on the ukulele. Their original music, influenced by 90s alternative rock, explores themes of zombies, aliens, and Norse mythology.

Their journey began 15 years ago with late-night car rides, Weezer singalongs, and listening to Love Line on Q101. The station has been the soundtrack to their love story ever since, making it only fitting for Q101 to be part of their wedding. For Anna and Erik, their commitment is a daily “I Do,” and now, they’re ready to make it official.

Karlee & Stephen

Couple #5

Karlee and Stephen’s love story is deeply connected to Q101. Stephen asked Karlee to be his girlfriend at PIQNIQ in 2019, bonding over their shared love for Young the Giant. Since then, they’ve attended countless Q101 events together, from Sound Lounge sessions to free concerts, even celebrating Valentine’s Day 2020 at a Joywave show hosted by the station. Their commitment to the Q101 community runs deep—they’ve even walked alongside the station and NAMI for suicide prevention.

In September 2024, Stephen proposed at their baby shower, and just weeks later, they welcomed their daughter on 10/11/2024. While they legally married soon after for practical reasons, they have yet to celebrate with a real wedding. Since Q101 has been such a significant part of their journey, they believe there’s no better way to begin this next chapter than by having the station plan their special day.

Amy & Adam

Couple #6

Amy and Adam’s engagement was nothing short of unforgettable—Adam proposed on stage at Riot Fest in 2021, in front of thousands eagerly awaiting Simple Plan. Working in event lighting, he had promised Amy backstage access, but instead, he surprised her with a life-changing question.

After their engagement, they bought a house and planned to start wedding preparations, but life had other plans. Just two months later, they discovered they were expecting. Wanting to be married before their baby arrived, they opted for a courthouse wedding. Now, with a home and a 10-month-old, spending $30K on a wedding feels impractical—but their dream of a real celebration hasn’t faded.

Katie & Thomas

Couple #7

Thomas has been a devoted Q101 listener since childhood, growing up on Chicago’s Southside with the station serving as the soundtrack to his life. From attending Jamboree in the ’90s to listening to Mancow in the mornings, he was devastated when Q101 went off the air and thrilled when it returned—coinciding with the rekindling of his relationship with his now-fiancée, Katie.

Katie and Thomas originally dated in their late teens and early twenties but eventually lost touch. In 2016, after years apart, Katie heard Q101 on the radio and was reminded of him, prompting her to reach out. They reconnected at Guthrie’s Tavern and have been together ever since. Now living in Lakeview with their two young children, Emma and Emmett, they had planned a wedding, although COVID ultimately derailed those plans.

Caitie & Jeff

Couple #8

Caitie and Jeff’s love story is deeply connected to their love for Q101—so much so that Caitie calls it her “healthiest addiction.” The two first met during a sand volleyball game in their hometown of Manhattan, IL, both fresh out of relationships and not looking for love. But fate—and Q101—had other plans.

Now, they hope to take their love for Q101 to the next level by having Brian and Kenzie officiate their wedding. For them, winning Aisle 101 isn’t just about a free wedding—it’s the ultimate way to celebrate their relationship and the station that has played such a huge role in it.

Cecily & Dominick

Couple #9

Cecily and Dominick’s relationship has been shaped by their shared love of the Chicago music scene—especially Q101. From car rides with the station playing in the background to their first Riot Fest, where Dominick lifted Cecily onto his shoulders for a better view, music has always brought them closer together.

One of their most cherished memories was attending The Nights We Stole Christmas, where they saw The Backseat Lovers, Girl in Red, and The Killers. That night, Dominick surprised Cecily with a framed poster, vinyl records, and a framed picture of the two of them—a perfect tribute to their love for music and each other. Now, they hope Q101 can be part of their wedding celebration, just as it has been part of their love story.

Faith & Mike

Couple #10

Mike and Faith recently got engaged after reconnecting in 2022, but their story began years ago in high school. Back then, Faith was a popular cheerleader, and Mike was a self-proclaimed band nerd. They graduated in 1999, never expecting that life would bring them back together decades later.

Now, as they search for the perfect wedding venue, winning Aisle 101 would be an unbelievable opportunity to celebrate their love in the best way possible. Mike also jokingly claims he may have written the Q101 morning show intro song—giving himself a little shameless plug—making their connection to the station all the more fitting for their big day!
